FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Rules are in our CCR's and Bi-Laws. However those sometimes change (Solar Panels, Renting, etc..) and the cost to change or ammend our CCR's is prohibitive. So our board is a member of the West Highlands Community and will do there best on volunteer time to enforce rules. Our Complaints/Concerns form is a great place to make us aware of an issue and we will get the HOA management company envolved. With that said, this is a community and we all should work to know our neighbors and talk with them. An example of this is if a neighbors lawn suddenly is not taken care of and a Complaint/Concern form is filled out, and it comes up that the neighbor had a severe health isssue and was not able to take care of there lawn. Now in this sitituation, our neighborhood would always offer to help. So let's keep the neighborhood safe and clean by using the Compliant/Concern form, and also get to know and enjoy our neighboorhood.

Why is <this> not being taken care of?

In most cases, the HOA is aware and is working on fixing the issue in the background. However, it is encouraged to use the Concerns/Comments form to make the HOA aware of the issue.

Why did HOA handle this matter, this way?

Your HOA board is composed of volunteers. We work together with our expertise to resolve as many issues as possible. The board lives in the community also and is wanting to do what's best for the community. With that said, we may make mistakes. Each of the key areas in our community (Clubhouse, gym, pool, irrigation, landscaping, security) has a committee to have residents that have an expertise to be able to speak into some of these topics and offer help/advise. If that is you, please sign up for a committee and help us keep West Highlands a great neighborhood.

Why is the HOA board not responding?

The HOA board has worked hard to establish a common communication path that can be used from HOA board to HOA board. We have worked to establish West Highlands Communications. While it can be confusing, we have a West Highlands Community facebook run by the HOA board and community members. There are other facebook pages that were created and used but never an official page and these are used/run by West Highlands Residents and run by them. The HOA board does not monitor and is not a part of those pages. We also have a YouTube channel for our gym videos, event videos and other videos that may come up. We are also working on creating an instagram account. We try to communicate in as many channels as possible. We have this communication page and forms/email for those who don't use social Media.
